The Association is an independent, voluntary, non-sectarian, non-political and non-profit-making organisation, based on adult, individual membership as defined in the Voluntary Organisations Act, (Chapter 492) of the Laws of Malta.
Mission Statement
The Association is committed to safeguard the interests of consumers in Malta in all aspects. The Association shall use all its resources to achieve this aim.

Fl-okkażjoni tal-Jum Dinji għad-Drittijiet tal-Konsumatur, l-Uffiċċju għall-Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur fi ħdan l-Awtorita ta` Malta għall-Kompetizzjoni u għall-Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur (MCCAA) flimkien mal-Ministeru għad-Djalogu Socjali, Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur u Libertajiet Ċivili qiegħed jorganiżża konferenza ta` nofstanhar bit-tema “Xiri u Lmenti Onlajn – X’esperjenza għandek?”.

L-għan tal-konferenza hu li jkunu diskussa l-vantaġġi u l-isfidi li jeżistu sew għas-sidien tan-negozji kif ukoll għall-konsumatur fl-użu ta` sistemi onlajn għal bejgħ u xiri.
Il-konferenza se titratta wkoll metodi ġodda ta` kif il-konsumatur qed jilmenta dwar prodotti jew sevizzi li jkun ircieva permezz ta` mezzi soċjali bħal Facebook.
Il-konferenza ser issir nhar il-Ġimgħa l-1 t’April bejn it-8:30 a.m u s-1:30 p.m f’Dar il-Mediterran għall-Konferenzi, fil-Belt Valletta u se tkun indirizzata mill-Onor Helena Dalli, Ministru għad-Djalogu Soċjali, Affarijiet tal-Konsumatur u Libertajiet Ċivili, bis-sehem ukoll ta` kelliema ewlenin minn diversi awtoritajiet fosthom MCCAA, ECC Malta, MEUSAC, MCA, GRTU, Malta Enterprise u Għaqdiet tal-Konsumatur.
Il-konferenza hija miftuħa għal sidien ta`negozji, konsumaturi u l-pubbliku inġenerali. L-attendenza hija bla ħlas iżda inħeġġuk tirreġistra onlajn mis-sit elettroniku tal-MCCAA: www.mccaa.org.mt jew billi ċċemplu fuq 2395 2000.

hWorld Consumer Rights Day
15 March is the World Consumer Rights Day (WCRD) marking the date in 1962 when President John F Kennedy first outlined the definition of consumer rights (http://tinyurl.com/65de57q).
On the occasion of WCRD 2016, in a joint campaign ANEC and CEN-CENELEC have produced an infographic on consumer rights and standards in Europe. The infographic shows how the different consumer rights are supported by standards in Europe.

Vice-President Grace Attard who is a Bureau member of the European Economic and Social Committee EESC in Brussels, has been working very hard to invite EESC President Malosse to visit Malta. She has been working on the programme in which she included a particular visit to NCW, Centre, which was his first link with Civil Society in Malta , way back in 2003 during the accession period, when she invited him to a public dialogue on the advantages of joining the EU.
